Whoa, it's been a while...

Untitled (women), hand-cut paper, collage, 2.5 x 4.5 inches, 2014

I recently rediscovered my grandfather's photo album. He was a silent meticulous man. In his incredible photo album his thoughtfulness shines through his reticence.

My ideas have been scattered all over the place for some time, but looking through this beautiful book, I have found my focus.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANDY

I made this for my better half. We recently celebrated his life on this planet for another wonderful year! He's mentioned many many many times how much he loves my Baphomet Taraxacum piece, so I wanted to make him something utilizing some of that imagery. AND... he can hang his keys, stash his sunglasses, find a home for his gloves, and a tuck away important receipts in this handy little wall organizer. He shall never be late again. Haha.

Equidae

I've been crazy swamped with multiple commitments. Ahhhhhh! I'm currently still experimenting with tapestry-inspired hand-cut fabric works. This piece is part of my Dawn/Dilapidation project. Also partially influenced by mandalas, this work is my take on the phenomenon that is the existence and magnificence of mules. (Yep, I'm talking about mules, the animal)

Kanada project at Gallery 44, Sept-Oct 2013 (Part 2)

I just realized that I never posted the actual photographs displayed in the Kanada installation. The first image shows the view through the peephole, through the magnifying glass, highlighting a detail in one of the photographs. Image courtesy of Gallery 44.

Hello 2014! First time lapse video of my hand-cut work.

New Year. New media. New materials. Inspired by tapestries, I've been experimenting with creating hand-cut pieces on fabric. In this video, I am hand-cutting howling wolves on western-inspired vinyl.
